Care instructions

Apatch patches consist of several laser-cut layers, bonded with an acrylic adhesive. Water on its own does no harm. Detergent does: repeated washing breaks down the bond and the layers come loose. These instructions apply to all Apatch patches.

Washing

Do not wash

Do not wash the patch, not in the machine and not by hand. Remove it from your uniform, vest or bag before washing. The hook-and-loop backing makes that quick.

Cleaning

Sponge and lukewarm water only

  1. Wet a soft sponge with lukewarm water. Do not use soap or detergent.
  2. Wipe the patch gently. Do not rub hard, or the layers may come loose.
  3. Let the patch air dry.

Avoid

Never use

  • Bleach
  • A tumble dryer
  • An iron
  • Dry cleaning
  • Alcohol or disinfectant
  • A pressure washer
  • A hard brush

Warranty

Damage from washing

Damage caused by washing, or by care that deviates from these instructions, is not covered by the warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights.
